The ACFQ works closely with the Hospitals of Sant Joan de Déu, Vall d'Hebron and Taulí Hospital, the only hospitals in Catalonia that treat patients with this disease, providing financial support and access to health assistants to reinforce the medical staff of these centres in terms of the treatment of patients with Cystic Fibrosis. The association also invests in research, currently working with the Institut d'Investigació Biomèdica de Bellvitge, which has a line of research in Cystic Fibrosis, and with the Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia, which is working on new antimicrobial strategies.
