Solidarity with those most in need, the courage to make a parody in times of dictatorship, the conviction that each small action is not just something that can be done, but rather something that makes the world a better place… gave him the impetus to found Serra in 1965.
We could tell you a thousand more stories and milestones… We have grown, we have added new offices, we have sponsored sports clubs and cultural initiatives, we have participated in TV programs, we have acquired companies… In short: we have walked a path of many successes, some failures and countless learnings.
Year after year, Lalo's nonconformist, restless and supportive character has accompanied us every step of the way, helping us to become who we are today: Serra Grup Immobiliari.
1965
Our beginning
In 1965, Serra began managing communities from the first office at 26 Rambla Principal, led by Manuel-Sergi Serra M. Peñaranda, thanks to the trust of a group of local residents, which entrusted him with the financial management of a group of communities located in the Sant Joan and Maritime districts. Until then, Serra's main activity was more focused on administrative management under the guidance of Francisco Serra Guiu.
1967
Ribes Roges
In the year 1967, The City Council approved the first General Urban Development Plan affecting the Ribes Roges sector. The typological change from garden city developments to higher density constructions caused the demolition of some existing chalets in the area. The economic and administrative management of each of the new communities that were built during the following years and that had to face the urbanization costs was entrusted to Serra and since then, it has been a reference in the administration of communities in Vilanova i la Geltrú and, specifically, in the Ribes Roges sector.
2003
Generational change
In 2003, The current owner of the company retires and his son and current owner takes over: Sergi Serra Muñoz, Certified Property Administrator number 5371, Real Estate Agent number 2916 and Group A insurance broker.
2006
Second headquarters
In 2006, The company's second headquarters is acquired at 2 Picapedrers Street in Vilanova i la Geltrú, from where the company's first strategic plan is planned, focusing on both business growth and the quality and differentiation of the service.
2010
Lalo's story
In 2010, In collaboration with local artist Lluís Amará, the AAVV Centre Vila and the sponsorship of Finques Serra, a story was published about the figure of Lalo, a fictional character of a mischievous child played by Josep Antoni Serra Alsina in the post-war period, father and grandfather of the two Serra generations. The money raised from the sale of the story was donated to needy families in the city.
2011
SIP Farms
In 2011, the goodwill of the communities of owners and rental management of the company Finques SIP, a leading real estate company in the Penedès, is acquired.
2013
ALTERO Administration
In 2013, the goodwill of the communities of owners and rental management of the Vilanova i la Geltrú company ALTERO Administración is acquired.
2014
Savings Days
In 2014, Serra, together with the Vilanova i la Geltrú City Council, organised the 'Saving energy and money' event, which was a great success in terms of participation and high-level speakers, such as the renowned TV3 meteorologist, Francesc Mauri.
That same year, Serra's new website was launched and all clients were given 24-hour virtual access to view all documentation, both for the building's staff and the community.
2015
50 Years of Serra
In 2015, The company celebrates its 50th anniversary with a celebration with all the staff at the Llopart cellars, with suppliers at the La Cucanya Restaurant and with the company's oldest clients on a private basis. On the occasion of its anniversary, the Chamber of Commerce recognised Serra for his career on the “Chamber Day”. The FEGP also did so.
At the end of 2015, the 24-hour emergency service was incorporated exclusively for presidents of communities of owners and property clients.
2016
Vilafranca del Penedès
In 2016, The new office in Vilafranca del Penedès is inaugurated.
The company is also a sponsor of the II MUSiCVEU, a festival of reference in the Penedès that brings together very diverse musical groups with the aim of promoting them around the territory as well as promoting emerging groups. The festival is organised by the Fundació Pinnae, which aims to "promote activities in the areas of assistance to the most vulnerable people or those at risk of exclusion, economic revitalization, social and labour integration, as well as cultural promotion".
In 2016, Serra also became the main sponsor of the social project of the Casal-Societat La Principal de Vilafranca del Penedès, helping large families to enjoy all the activities of the institution by assuming part of the membership fee. Later, in 2018, the company would sponsor the sports section of the organisation: the SE Casal de Vilafranca.
2019
New image
In 2019, Serra renews its brand image, changes its web domain, modernizing its page and opens a new central office at 17 Pius X Street in Vilanova i la Geltrú.
2022
Expansion
2022 marked a key year in the expansion of Serra, with the acquisition of a new portfolio of communities in Sant Pere de Ribes, which allowed for the opening of a new headquarters and the expansion of the management and administrative team.
In addition, the company managed to consolidate its presence in the real estate market of Sitges, a highly competitive and international market. To this end, it opened an office in the heart of the town, in the Àngel Vidal Street, 12, thus strengthening its visibility and accessibility in the area.
That same year, driven by its growth and consolidation in the sector, Serra moved its headquarters from Vilafranca to the Tarragona Avenue, a strategic location with a large influx of people. This new office stands out for its renewed image, with large windows, high ceilings, and a minimalist and modern decor, reflecting the evolution and commitment of Serra with excellence in real estate management.
2024
Growth and Modernization
This year marks a new stage in our evolution as a company. We moved to a new office in Ribes with the aim of integrating the portfolio of Cia&Co, a company with more than 20 years of experience in the sector. With this integration, we have collaborated in the modernization and digitalization of its processes, incorporating computer tools to make operations more agile and efficient.
Besides, We renew completely our office in the Main Rambla of Vilanova i la Geltrú, the place where Serra Grup Immobiliari began its history. With this renovation, we updated the space to reflect our founding values and our spirit of constant growth, inaugurating a modern and functional space that reflects our commitment to proximity.

New Integration in Vilafranca
