[:en]The Council of Ministers has approved, this Tuesday, March 31, various Measures to help tenants financially affected by the COVID-19 crisis. These are based, among others, on the moratorium or reduction of 50% in the payment of rent by tenants of large holders who own more than ten urban properties (excluding parking and storage rooms), the granting of microcredits by the State to all those tenants who have not obtained a deferral in the payment of rent by landlords who are not large holders, an extraordinary extension of rental contracts and the suspension of evictions for six months for families without alternative housing that develop within the context of COVID-19.
Below we give you a summary of these measures approved in the Royal Decree published in the BOE on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, trying to clarify it and resolve possible doubts that both tenants and landlords may have.

What does the State consider to be a vulnerable group?
